7th CAAP Convention in Wuhan, December 2018

The tenth anniversary conference of the Chinese/American Association for Poetry and Poetics  will be held in Wuhan, China / December 7–10, 2018, hosted by Central China Normal University, Wuhan, China. Co-sponsored by Center for English Literatures of Central China Normal University, Foreign Literature Studies, International Journal of Poetry and Poetics, and Journal of Foreign Language and Literature 

CALL FOR PAPERS
 All scholars, poets and poetry translators are welcome. 

I. Possible Topics (but not limited to the following):
(1) The Chinese/American Association for Poetry and Poetics: A Cross-Cultural Perspective
(2) Chinese and Foreign Poetry: Their Exchange and Dissemination
(3) Sound, Visual, and Performance: New Perspectives on the Texts of Poetry
(4) The Ethical Dimension of Poetries
(5) Poetry and Ethnic Experiences
(6) Poetry and Modern Science and Technology
(7) Poetic Theory: Traditional and Modern
(8) Art of Poetry Translation

Proposals must be in English or in both Chinese and English.  
Group proposals are welcome.

 II. Time:
(1) Proposals are due on October 31, 2018.
(2) On-site registration: November 7, 2018, at Guiyuan Hotel
 (Central China Normal University, 319 Luoyu Road, Wuhan, Hubei, China. )
(3) Convention events: December 7–8, 2018 

III. Publications:
Qualified papers will be selected and published in Foreign Literature Studies, International Journal for Poetry and Poetics, and Foreign Language and Literature Research.

中美诗歌诗学协会第七届年会暨协会成立十周年国际学术研讨会将于2018年12月7-9日在华中师范大学举行。本次会议由华中师范大学外国语学院承办，华中师范大学英语文学研究中心以及《外国文学研究》《诗歌诗学国际学刊》《外国语文研究》等学术期刊协办。会议具体信息如下：

一、  会议议题（但不限于以下议题）：

（1）中美诗歌诗学协会的历史、发展、意义：一个跨文化视角
（2）中外诗歌交流与传播
（3）声音、视觉、表演：诗歌文本研究
（4）诗歌的伦理维度
（5）诗歌与族群经验
（6）诗歌与现代科技
（7）诗歌理论：传统与现代
（8）诗歌翻译的艺术

* 欢迎国内外学者、诗人、诗歌翻译家就以上议题或其他相关议题提交专题研讨方案。

二、重要时间：
2018年10月31日前，提交论文摘要、确认参会和住宿信息
2018年12月7日9:30——21:30，会议报到（华中师范大学桂苑宾馆大厅）
2018年12月8日—9日中午，会议

三、成果出版：

优秀论文将择优发表在《外国文学研究》《诗歌诗学国际学刊》《外国语文研究》等学术期刊。
四、会议工作语言：英语或汉语。
五、会务费：会务费900元（全日制研究生500元）。会议主办方安排会议期间餐饮，差旅费和住宿费由参会代表自理。
