Henri N’Koumo
A literary critic and poet, N’Koumo was born in 1965 in Bingerville (Abidjan). While a student, he published his poems in the news daily Fraternité Matin. In 1990 he won the international award for short stories organized by Radio France Afrique. In 2009, he copublished with his friend, journalist Azo Vauguy, a book of poetry for two voices devoted to the Ivorian political situation: Zakwato / Morsure d’Eburnie (Vallesse Éditions, 2009). Following the earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010, he coordinated the publication of the book Des paroles de Côte d’Ivoire pour Haïti, an anthology of forty Ivorian writers. He is the director of literacy and reading in the Ministry of Culture and Francophony of Côte d’Ivoire.
