George Scrivani
George Scrivani studied Latin and Greek at SUNY Buffalo, where he met Gregory Corso in 1970. For the next thirty years he served as Corso’s secretary, editor, and translator (Italian and German). His translation of Alberto Savinio’s Departure of the Argonaut was published by Peterburg Press in 1986, with illustrations by Francesco Clemente. Between 1985 and 1995 he worked in India as editor for Hanuman Books. He also pursued a professional medical career as a registered nurse.
