Stephanie Young lives and works in Oakland. Her most recent book is A Megaphone: Some Enactments, Some Numbers, and Some Essays about the Continued Usefulness of Crotchless-pants-and-a-machine-gun Feminism, coedited with Juliana Spahr. Her books of poetry are Picture Palace (In Girum Imus Nocte et Consumimur Igni, 2008) and Telling the Future Off (Tougher Disguises, 2005). She edited the anthology Bay Poetics (Faux Press, 2005) and is a founding and managing editor of Deep Oakland.

She'll be thinking about this stuff while commentarrying here for a few months, about and around poetry and poetics in the Bay Area.
