Sophie Robinson
Sophie Robinson was born in 1985, and is a lecturer in Creative Writing at Northumbria University. She holds an MA in poetic practice and in 2012 completed her practice-based PhD, Queer Time and Space in Contemporary Experimental Writing, at Royal Holloway University. Her first book, a, came out from Les Figues Press in 2009, and The Institute of Our Love in Disrepair was published by Bad Press in 2012. Her work has been included in several anthologies including Infinite Difference: Other Poetries by Women in the UK (Shearsman, 2010), Voice Recognition: 21 Poets for the 21st Century (Bloodaxe, 2009) and The Reality Street Book of Sonnets (Reality Street, 2008). In January 2011, she was appointed as poet in residence at the V&A Museum.
