Richard Taylor
Richard Taylor was born in 1948, of English parents, and educated in Auckland, New Zealand, where he has resided, except for trips to Fiji in 1973 and New York in 1993, all his life. He published the chapbook Singing in the Slaughter House in 1991, then Red (from Dead Poets Books) in 1996. More recently he published Conversation with a Stone (Titus Books 2007). His latest project is the website EYELIGHT, derived originally from “The Infinite Poem" (initiated by influence from various modernist and postmodernist writers e.g. Zukofsky, Olson, Stein, the Language Poets, Alan Sondheim, and certain conceptual artists).
