Lynley Edmeades

Lynley Edmeades recently completed her PhD on sound and media in the avant-garde poetics of Gertrude Stein, John Cage, and Caroline Bergvall. Otago University Press published her first collection of poetry, As the Verb Tenses, in her native New Zealand in 2016. Her poetry, reviews, and scholarship have been published widely in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and the US, including an essay on John Cage in Comparative Literature (Duke University Press)in 2016. She lives in Dunedin, New Zealand, where she is currently working towards her second poetry collection and the publication of her doctoral thesis, The Hear and Now: Sound and Media in Twentieth Century Avant-Garde Poetics.
