Courtney Rydel

Courtney Rydel is assistant professor of English at Washington College, where she teaches medieval literature with a focus on translation, history of material texts, and women’s literary culture. Her articles have appeared or are forthcoming in Notes and Queries and Journal of Medieval Religious Cultures. She previously taught as a lecturer in critical writing at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her PhD in English in 2012, and she holds a BA in English from the College of New Jersey with a minor in creative writing.
