Richard Parker
Richard Parker is assistant professor of American literature at the University of Gaziantep in Turkey. Publications of poetry include from The Mountain of California … (Openned Press) and China (Knives, Forks and Spoons Press), both 2010, while a long poem, The Traveller and the Defence of Heaven was published by Veer Press in 2012 and another collection, R.T.A. Parker’s 99 Sonnets about Evil (from which the poems in this feature are excerpted), is forthcoming from Ninerrors Press. In addition, Richard is the editor and printer of the Crater Press poetry pamphlet series, which has published work by poets including Tim Atkins, Amy De’Ath, Harry Gilonis, Tom Raworth, Stephen Rodefer, and Keston Sutherland and was awarded the 2010 Michael Marks Poetry Pamphlet Prize.
