Burt Kimmelman’s eighth collection of poetry is Gradually the World: New and Selected Poems, 1982–2013 (BlazeVOX, 2013). His work is often anthologized, has been recited by Garrison Keillor on The Writer’s Almanac, and has been the subject of a number of interviews (available online or in print) and articles or reviews. He is the author of two book-length literary studies: The “Winter Mind”: William Bronk and American Letters (1998) and The Poetics of Authorship in the Later Middle Ages (1996). In addition, he edited The Facts on File Companion to Twentieth-Century American Poetry (2005), coedited The Facts on File Companion to American Poetry (2007), coedited various other volumes of literary criticism, and has published nearly a hundred articles on medieval, modern, or contemporary poetry.
