Paul Hoover reads "Krishna Takes a Picture" (2:15)
Paul Hoover reads a poem, “Krishna Takes a Picture,” which he wrote in response to the works “Anonymity,” 2008-2011 (eight from a series of nine light boxes) by Poklong Anading and Chinese bronze mirrors (from the Asian Art Museum's collection). These works were on view as part of the exhibition “Phantoms of Asia: Contemporary Awakens the Past,” and were on view at the Asian Art Museum from May 18-September 2, 2012. For more information: www.asianart.org/phantoms. This presentation was part of “MATCHA: Phantoms Arise!” For more information, click here. PennSound recently created a Paul Hoover author page. The earliest recording on that page is Hoover’s 1991 Segue Series reading at the Ear Inn. There you can also listen to three “Cross Cultural Poetics” episodes, hosted by Leonard Schwartz, in which Hoover was interviewed.
