Julian Francis Park

Julian Francis Park sometimes works in a tenants’ rights clinic in Oakland. Recent publications include an essayish review of Fred Moten’s The Feel Trio and Claudia Rankine’s Citizen in Tripwire, and a longish poem on social hygiene at AWP 2016, entitled “Ass Wipe Practice,” in Entropy; currently he is seeking publication for his manuscript-length poem in five parts, Every Breath You Take, often in or approaching prose and about and against literal and figurative policing in Oakland amid intensifying social antagonisms and the movement to abolish the police. He recently graduated with a poetry MFA from Mills College.
