James Stuart’s most recent projects include Conversions, an exhibition of poetry in translation (Chengdu, Suzhou, and Beijing), and The Material Poem, an e-anthology of text-based art and intermedia writing. He won the 2010 Newcastle Poetry Prize’s New Media Category for “Sudden Rain, Tilba Tilba,” a collaboration with artist Laura Gulbin. He holds a master’s of creative arts, centered on the interface between poetry and materiality, and was a 2008 Asialink Literature Resident in Chengdu, China, supported by the Australia Council and Arts NSW.
