Chris Hosea
Writer and artist Chris Hosea was born in Princeton, New Jersey, and educated at Harvard College, NYU, and UMass Amherst. Put Your Hands In (LSU, 2014), Hosea’s first collection, was selected by John Ashbery for the 2013 Academy of American Poets Walt Whitman Award. His next full-length volume was Double Zero (Prelude, 2016). Artwork made with Kim Bennett, a frequent collaborator, was featured in a full-gallery show at Brooklyn’s Transmitter. Hosea lives in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he works, co-leads a workshop for McLean Hospital patients, and hosts monthly poetry readings.
