Aakash Suchak is a writer and cultural critic based in New York. He is the recipient of the Philip M. Hicks Prize for Literary Criticism, the John Russell Hayes Poetry Prize, and the Monroe C. Beardsley Humanities Research Fellowship. From 2011–2012, Aakash was a Fulbright Scholar to the United Kingdom and, from 2014–2015, a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow in French at the University of California, Berkeley. His essays have appeared in Modern Language Notes, The Comparatist, and the Journal of Comparative Literature and Aesthetics. Having managed publications grants from the Terra and Wyeth Foundations for American Art at the College Art Association (CAA), he now serves as Grants Administrator for the Conservation Center of the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University.
