Piotr Gwiazda (b. 1973) was born in Poland and immigrated to the US as a teenager. His translation of Grzegorz Wróblewski’s Kopenhaga appeared from Zephyr Press in 2013. He has also published two critical studies, James Merrill and W. H. Auden and US Poetry in the Age of Empire (both from Palgrave Macmillan), and two books of poetry, Gagarin Street (WWPH) and Messages (Pond Road Press). He teaches modern and contemporary poetry at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
