Paul Dutton

Paul Dutton is a writer and oral-sound artist who throughout his career has pursued a holistic poetics that includes sound and visual poetry equally with print poetry for the page. He is the author of six books, including poetry and fiction, and four solo recordings, including the CDs Mouth Pieces and Oralizations. He has performed at literary and music festivals throughout most of the Western world as a soloist and an ensemble member, first in the Four Horsemen (with bpNichol, Steve McCaffery, and Rafael Barreto-Rivera) and now in CCMC (with Michael Snow, John Oswald, and, since 2012, John Kamevaar) and in numerous ad hoc collaborations with both oral-sound artists and instrumentalists.
