Marci Vogel

Marci Vogel is a native of Los Angeles, where she attends the University of Southern California as a provost’s fellow in the PhD program in creative writing and literature. Vogel’s poetry, essays, and translations have appeared in FIELD, Poet Lore, Plume, Anamesa, and the Colorado, Manchester, and Seneca reviews, among others. She was awarded the 2014 Willis Barnstone Translation Prize for her translation from French into English of Andrée Chedid’s 1956 poetry sequence “In the Noon of Contradictions,” and her first full-length collection of poetry, At the Border of Wilshire & Nobody, was selected for of the inaugural Howling Bird Press Poetry Prize.
