Scott Jackshaw

Scott Jackshaw is a PhD student in English at Brown University. His research convenes queer theory, critical theory, and political theology to analyze configurations of difference, subjectivity, and being in contemporary poetry. His academic and creative work foregrounds poetry as a way of performing theoretical inquiry and the possibilities that research-creation and formally innovative poetry present for queer and otherwise thinking. His poetry and prose have appeared in a number of literary journals, including The Capilano ReviewHart House Review, and PRISM international. He lives and writes in Edmonton, Alberta, where he has performed and discussed his work across a variety of readings and panels. He holds a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Alberta.
