Robert Sheppard

Robert Sheppard is a British poet-critic whose Complete Twentieth Century Blues is published by Salt. His Shearsman poetry collections are Warrant Error, Berlin Bursts, and A Translated Man, and Shearsman also published his critical volume When Bad Times Made for Good Poetry. He is professor of poetry and poetics at Edge Hill University in Lancashire, England, and he coedits Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry with Scott Thurston. He coedited the 1991 anthology Floating Capital: New Poets from London with Adrian Clarke. He blogs at www.robertsheppard.blogspot.com, where he describes his latest experiments in fictional poems and tests out ideas for a book on form, upon which he is currently working. He coorganizes the Storm and Golden Sky readings in Liverpool, where he lives.
