Featured author page: Sara Wintz

We’re pleased to highlight PennSound’s Sara Wintz page. It features her reading from Everyday Fashion at Quiet Lightning Poetry Series, Conservatory of Flowers, San Francisco, on August 16, 2012, and a second reading from Everyday Fashion, this time at Small Press Traffic, San Francisco, March 4, 2012. From not quite a year earlier, we have both video and audio recordings of her reading from Walking Across a Field We Are Focused on at This Time Now (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2012) at Condensary, in Oakland, on June 18, 2011. Finally, we have a recording of Sara’s Segue Series reading at the Bowery Poetry Club in April of 2011. Sara Wintz’s work brings together text and theater in a practice that encompasses research, poetry, and performance. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Small Press Traffic, the literary arts non-profit based in San Francisco. Her work appears in the anthology The Sonnets: Re-Writing Shakespeare (recently published by Telephone/Nightboat Books).
