Richard Swigg

Richard Swigg, formerly senior lecturer in English at Keele University, has written Lawrence, Hardy and American LiteratureCharles Tomlinson and the Objective Tradition and Look With the Ears: Charles Tomlinson’s Poetry of Sound. His edition of Speaking With George Oppen: Interviews with the Poet and Mary Oppen will be published in 2012, as well as Quick, Said the Bird: Williams, Eliot, Moore and the Spoken Word. He has brought together and published the collected  recordings of Tomlinson, William Carlos Williams, Hugh MacDiarmid, and Basil Bunting. His edition of Williams recordings was published online by PennSound in 2007, followed by his collection of George Oppen recordings in 2009.
