Peter Minter

Peter Minter is a  poet, editor, and literary scholar living in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney. He has published five collections of poetry, including the 2000 Age Poetry Book of the Year Empty Texas (Sydney: Paper Bark Press) and blue grass (Cambridge: Salt Publishing 2006). He was a founding editor of Cordite Poetry and Poetics Review in 1997, coedited Calyx: 30 Contemporary Australian Poets in 2000, and coedited the Macquarie PEN Anthology of Aboriginal Literature in 2008 and the Macquarie PEN Anthology of Australian Literature in 2009.  Between 2000 and 2005 he was poetry editor of Meanjin,  and he is now the poetry editor of Overland. His work has been widely published, translated and anthologized in Australia and internationally, appearing in works such as The Penguin Book of Modern Australian Poetry and AU/UA Contemporary Poetry in Australia and the Ukraine (2011).
