Norman Fischer

Norman Fischer is a poet and Zen Buddhist priest who lives in Muir Beach, California. His latest collection of poetry is Questions/Places/Voices/Seasons (Singing Horse, 2009), with Conflict forthcoming from Chax Press. His latest prose work is Sailing Home (Simon and Schuster, 2008). Paul Dutton is a sound poet, visual poet, essayist, and novelist from Toronto, Ontario. Paul was a member of the seminal sound poetry group The Four Horsemen from 1970 to 1988, and since 1989 he's performed in the improvisational trio CMCC with John Oswald and Michael Snow. Paul has also worked with the vocal art supergroup Five Men Singing, among numerous other collaborations.

There are so many fantastic events catalogued on PennSound, but one that I find myself coming back to time and time again is the 2007 Flarf Poetry Festival at The Kelly Writers House. And I’m not the only one — PennSound Podcasts featured the event in an episode, and PoemTalk featured Sharon Mesmer's “I Accidentally Ate Some Chicken and Now I’m in Love with Harry Whittington” back in 2010.
