Michelle Cahill is a Goan-Anglo-Indian writer who lives in Sydney. Her poems and fiction have appeared in Meanjin, Southerly, Drunken Boat, World Literature Today, and Poetry Review. Her collections are The Accidental Cage (Interactive Publications, 2006) and Vishvarūpa (5 Islands Press, 2011), both of which were shortlisted for national prizes. She was highly commended in the Blake Poetry prize and received the Val Vallis Award. Michelle edits Mascara Literary Review online. She was a fellow at Hawthornden Castle in 2011.
