Matthew Hofer

Matthew Hofer teaches American and British literature — with an emphasis on innovative twentieth-century poetry — at the University of New Mexico. He has most recently completed an expanded reprint of Edward Dorn and Leroy Lucas’s classic photo-essay The Shoshoneans: The People of the Basin-Plateau (2013) as well as the chapter on “Ezra Pound, William Carlos Williams, and the East Coast Projectivists” for the forthcoming Cambridge History of American Poetry. He edits, for UNM Press, the series Recencies: Research and Recovery in Twentieth-Century American Poetics, which publishes collections of essays, letters, and interviews in addition to critical monographs, poetry/poetics reprints, and coherent edited volumes.
