Breyten Breytenbach, Brooklyn: Pirogue Collective, 2011). He has read his work at various international festivals, among them the Stockholm International Poetry Festival, Poetry Africa in Durban, and PEN’s Free the Word in London. His book Unbelievers, or ‘The Moor,’ which surveys Islamic vestiges in Iberia and along the Indian Ocean, is forthcoming.
